IT Transparency & Accountability

Policy and product work for the public window into a $120B federal IT portfolio.
ITDashboard.gov is the public window into roughly $120B of federal IT spending — every major investment, every agency, every year. By 2022 it had become both indispensable and unloved: the data was there, but the experience hid it. The OMB Office of the Federal CIO brought me in to fix both.
Working inside the Executive Office of the President, I co-authored the CPIC guidance tied to OMB Circular A-11, aligned the portfolio to the TBM framework, and led the redesign of the dashboard itself — high-fidelity prototypes, rebuilt information architecture, and a new model for how oversight users actually read a portfolio. The output was policy and product shipped together, which is the only way this kind of transparency holds up.
