EMEA Fraud Detection System
Fraud detection targeting gray-market trading across EMEA.
HP's volume distribution channel across EMEA had a gray-market problem: product moving through unauthorized routes, eroding margin and partner trust. The fix wasn't more rules — it was better signal. I led the Fraud Detection project as system and knowledge manager for the application a 42-person, multi-country team used to investigate cases.
The work was equal parts data mining and product: defining the SAS Business Intelligence ER models, designing fifteen new report structures, and tuning the case-scoring logic so investigators spent their time on the right leads. Recovered cases climbed toward half a million dollars, and the bi-weekly KPI reviews with senior leadership turned into a forum for genuine policy change.
